Ruby Whitaker Kivett, 85, of 261 Bob Kivett Rd., Asheboro, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Graveside Services, 11 AM, Monday, August 22, 2016, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

Officiating, Rev. Terry Warren.

Ruby was a native of Randolph County, a retired Assembly line worker with General Electric Corporation and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Franklinville. Ruby leaves behind her beloved dog, Cookie, who misses her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Helen Demont Whitaker and brothers, James, Gilbert, Harry, Billy and Paul Whitaker.

Survivors: husband, Robert Lee Kivett, of the home, twin sister,  Ruth Smith, of Sophia, Doris Craven, and husband, Matthew, of Sophia. brother, Vernon Whitaker, and wife, Judy, of Red Cross.

Visitation, 2 PM to 4 PM, Sunday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
