Nancy Hilliard Light, 76, of Staley, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at her daughter's residence.

Graveside Service and burial were held at Staley Cemetery, in Staley.

Nancy was a native of Chatham County and member of Staley Wesleyan Church. She was a hard working wife, mother, and friend who loved cooking and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy G. Light, son, Michael G. Light, parents, Marshall and Josie Beal Hilliard Pickard.

Survivors: daughter, Deborah Light, of Staley, sister, Jackie Wilson, and husband, Mike, of Bear Creek, brother, Ralph Hilliard, and wife, Wilma, of Elon, grandaughter, Crystal Faulkner, of GA, three great-grandchildren.

"She is also survived by her beloved grand fur babies, Boo, and Lug Nut."
