At this time of sorrow, may you each find comfort in your memories, treasuring the wonderful years you had together. May the resurrection hope sustain you. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29)

I worked for NRCS in Randolph county 2009 and 2010. During that time I came to know Arnie. He was such a kind soul and friend. I loved his little visits to the office where he would sit and talk about his life and family. He will surely be missed.....

I was saddened to read about Arlie's passing. He was a long-time friend and very good legislator. I really appreciated his hard work and his love and devotion to our State. I thought of his as a "solid gold" personality and yet, always down to earth in his thoughts and beliefs. I shall miss my friend Arlie.

I had the honor of serving with Arlie in the State House of Representatives. During the time we served together, I found Arlie to be a very honorable man, with great integrity, a good sense of humor and a willingness to fight for those he represented and for what he thought was right. I know he will be missed. May the Culp family experience GOD's peace, which passes all understanding, during this time of loss! GOD bless!!!! - (former) Representative Mark Crawford

God strengthens us by giving us the "power beyond what is normal" to make it through each passing day. Psalm 46:1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! Arlie was a fine gentleman and a avid supporter of agriculture in Randolph County. I enjoyed having him serve on the Randolph County Voluntary Agricultural Board for several years before I retired from Cooperative Extension Service. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family.

Always a cut up, always a smile, always serving. I remember childhood days of Arlie fishing with us in the pond at the homestead in Badin. We'd then all gather around the brick stove with stories while grandmama Culp fried our catch and the best hushpuppies ever.

Winston Churchill once said, "you make a living by what you get, you make a life by what you give." Uncle Arlie had one special life.

I served with Arlie in the NC House in the 1990's. We were roommates for several sessions. He loved good food, loved the Legislature and serving the people he represented. He loved this country. I honor his service as an elected official and his military service in WWII.

Loved Arlie and Daisy. I spent a lot of time with Daisy doing different projects. My teenaged daughter stayed with Daisy when Arlie was away. He loved the apple pies she cooked for them.

Arlie was my back door buddy. I would come home from work and he had dropped off fresh fruit and veggies from the Raleigh Farmer's Market. There were several of us in town who would see that present on a Friday afternoon after work. He always put his family and friends first. His energy and zest for life were endless. He loved a good laugh, a good meal with a glass of wine or a cold beer. He loved people and spent his life helping others. My condolences to his family. He always spoke about his sisters and their families with love. He was a good man and this world is a much better place for his willingness to put his thumb print on it.
