Barry Douglas Hudson, 64, of 3872 NC Hwy 42S., Asheboro, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 11 AM, Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Union Grove Christian Church, Asheboro.

Officiating, Rev. Scott Kidd.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Doug was a native of Randolph County, a farmer and a steward of the land. He was a former brick mason, a member of the Union Grove Christian Church, and a Drill Sergeant in the Army Reserves.  Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Worth and Rebecca Macon Hudson, and brother, Phil Hudson.

Survivors: companion, Linda Brown, daughters, Beth Newcomb, and husband, Gary, of Asheboro, Katie Brown, and husband, Chris, of Asheboro, son, J.D. Hudson, and wife, Billie Jo, of Asheboro, step-grandsons, Jesse, and Jake Fesmire, of Asheboro.

Visitation, 10 AM to 11 AM, Thursday, Union Grove Christian Church, Asheboro.
