Jerry, so sorry to hear about your Daddy I know you Loved him very much. I remember hearing about him many times in conversations over the years and it was always apparent your Love for him. Just remember he is smiling down on you and your family now and healthy once again.

I only had the chance to met Uncle Sam maybe 3 or 4 times as a young child and once at a family reunion around 2010. Although the encounters were brief in time; I remember his hearty laugh and slow draw in his words "B.....J......, you got to leave that fire water alone........leave that fire water alone". As a Yankee, it was awkward to refer to my Dr. Pepper soda as fire water but non the less brought a curious smile to my face. Rest in Peace.
