William Leonard Ingold, 92, of Asheboro, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Graveside Services, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery, Bennett, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Officiating, Rev. Mark Wilburn, Roger Pritchard.
Leonard was a native of Randolph County, a member of Balfour Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army. He entered the car business in the early fifties where he became well known for building friendships with his customers and in 1960 he became co-owner with Spec Hoffman of Hoffman-Ingold Auto Sales, which he owned for many years. After selling his business, he finished his career retiring from Dan Thomas Pontiac. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oakwell and Eva Parks Ingold and brother, Russell Ingold.
Survivors: wife, Lounette Murray Ingold, daughter, Robin Nalley, of Asheboro, grandson, Anderson Nalley, of Laurens, SC. He is also survived by his sisters, Donsy Hames, of Asheboro, Martha Peele, of Virginia Beach, brothers, Jimmy Ingold, Jesse Ingold, both of Asheboro.
The body will lie in repose from noon until 5 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Loflin Funeral Home.
Visitation, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
