William Dove Coble, Jr., 90, of Grays Chapel, died Monday, May 23, 2022 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral Services, 2 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, Franklinville.
Officiating, Rev. Jacob Kyker.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Dove was a native of Randolph County and a retired vocational teacher with Randolph County Schools. After his retirement, Dove helped build many handicap ramps for people in the community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Grays Chapel Lions Club, and a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church. Dove loved his garden and giving produce to his friends. He loved to fish and do odd jobs for his neighbors. Dove loved baseball and spent many years coaching Little League teams. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dove, Sr., and Alta Hackett Coble, sisters, Opal Cox, Janna Correll, and brother, Curtis Coble.
Survivors: wife, Edith Eddinger Coble, of the home, daughters, Vicki Rice and husband, Rodney, of Colfax, Tammy Hall and husband, Van, of Reidsville, son, William Dove Coble, III, of Grays Chapel, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
