Wayne Jesse Lawson

Wayne Jesse Lawson, 80, of Ramseur, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral Services, 11 AM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Saving Grace Baptist Church, in Coleridge.

Officiating, Pastor Chris Wood.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Wayne was a native and longtime resident of Randolph County. He was a former truck driver for Briles Oil Company and a member of Saving Grace Baptist Church in Coleridge. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, playing cards, cornhole, and spending time with his family. Wayne loved sharing his Testimony and his surviving cancer twice by saying "I'm a winner either way, if I go, or if I stay." Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Conie Albright Lawson, sisters, Marie Cain and Stacy Curtis.

Survivors: wife, Carol Beck Lawson, of the home, daughter, Kim Garner, and husband, Michael, of Asheboro, son, Phil Lawson, and wife, Cindy, of Asheboro, sister, Dale Dubendorf, of Asheboro, brother, Gayle Lawson, and wife, Martha, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Wade Lawson, and wife, Megan, of Asheboro, Cami Garner, Carson Garner, of Asheboro, great-grandchild, Braxton Vick, numerous nieces and nephews, and special dog, "Emmy".

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
