Wayne Allen Obituary

Wayne Thomas Allen, 76, of Ramseur, died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Graveside Services, 3:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2020, at Holly Spring Friends Meeting, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Todd Brown, Rev. Michael Thames.

Wayne was a native of Randolph County, a longtime resident of Ramseur and a 1964 graduate of Ramseur High School. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Holly Spring Friends Meeting. Wayne was a loving, kind, giving, caring person, always willing, without question, to lend a helping hand to a neighbor, friend or anyone. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer S. Allen and Virgie Brown Allen.

Survivors: wife, Lou Anne Allen, son,Tony Allen and wife, Tonya, of Ramseur, daughter, Kelly Joiner and husband, Jimmy, of Asheboro, step-sons, Tim Ellington and wife, Sarah, of Staley, Terry Ellington and wife, Wendy, of Lexington, sister, Nancy Edinger and husband, Fred, of Hartsville, SC, brother, Melvin Allen and wife, Ann, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Katelyn Forbes, Abigail Allen, Tanner Beal and wife, Yui, Anthony Allen, step grandchildren, Xander Ellington, Ethan Ellington, Carter Ellington, great grandchildren, Jackson Forbes, Logan Forbes, Ariel Beal, Landon Trammel, three nieces, Michelle Williams and husband, Dwight, Gina Bateman and husband, Matt, April Adams and husband, Tristan, and one nephew, Paul Edinger and wife, Kelly. Four great nieces, Piper Edinger, Harper Edinger, Amelia Adams and Adeline Adams, four great nephews, Cody Osborne, Corey Bateman, Christian Bateman and Miles Adams, and also special friends, Doug Kinney and David Hawkins, both of Asheboro.

The body will lie in state on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from noon to 5:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends at the home of son, Tony Allen, 2620 Holly Spring Road, Ramseur.
