Virginia Carol Whitten Staples, 80, of Ramseur, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Tommy Kidd.
Burial, Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park, Julian.
Carol was a native of Cabarrus County and a longtime resident of Ramseur. She spent the majority of her career in the textiles industry and retired at the age of sixty two. Carol's favorite place to go was Myrtle Beach and she loved spending time with her family at Disney World. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Virginia Wensil Whitten, and sister, Irma King.
Survivors: husband, Jennings "Jake" Staples, Jr., of the home, sons, Richard "Rick" Kidd, and wife, Tammi, of Asheboro, Tommy Kidd, and wife, Karen, of Franklinville, step-daughter, Angie Fredricks, and husband, Jeremy, of Hendersonville, grandchildren, Amy Kidd, of Archdale, Scotty Kidd, of Asheboro, Randy Kidd, and wife, Jennifer, of Whitsett, Allyson Kidd, of Asheboro, Bethany Kidd, Jordan Kidd, both of Franklinville, great-grandchildren, Matthew Kidd, Liam Kidd, Autumn Kidd, Carson Kidd, and Micah Kidd.
