Vernon Lee Brown, 89, of Ramseur, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.
A private Graveside Service will be held.

Vernon was a native of Randolph County and was a hard worker all of his life, having retired from Kellwood Hosiery, and then working his sawmill after retirement. He loved to have get to-gathers where he could spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Lou Brown, parents, Clyde and Daisy Coble Brown, and brothers, Earnest and Junior Brown, step son, Ronald Shaw.
Survivors: wife, Elner (Bill) Brown, of the home, son, Terry Lee Brown, of Siler City, sister, Louise Womble, and husband, Earl, of Siler City, brothers, Frank Brown, and wife Sylvia, of Siler City, Richard Brown, and wife, Anne, of Pittsboro, Bobby Brown, and wife, Sherry, of Bennett, Jimmy Brown, and wife, Pam, of Raleigh, step daughter, Nancy Lawson, and husband, Ralph, step son, Danny Shaw, and wife, Jane, step grandchildren, Cheryl Ollis, and husband, Tommy, Angela Delli Colli, and husband, Jim, Tara Burgess, and husband, Anthony, Dana Collins, and husband Mike, Chad Lawson, and wife Shannon, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Dot Brown, numerous nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and great nephews.
