Velma Cox Pate, 96, of Ramseur, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.
Funeral Services, 11 AM, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Ramseur.

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.
Velma was a native of Guilford County and a longtime resident of Ramseur. She was a graduate of Ramseur High School and attended Campbell College in Buies Creek, NC. Velma was one of the owners and operators of Ramseur Building Supply and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ramseur where she was involved in the Women's Missionary Group, and "The Group". She was a member of the Ramseur Garden Club, and was an avid golfer until the wonderful age of 84. Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pate, parents Willie and Annie Stout Cox, brother, William Cox.
Survivors: daughter, Brenda Flowers, of Ramseur, sons, Ken Pate, and wife, Liz, of Ramseur, Eddie Pate, and wife, Lois, of Riverton, Wyoming, four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters.
Visitation, 10 AM to 11 AM, Saturday, First Baptist Church of Ramseur,and other times at the residence.
