Thomas Leon Brady, 91, of Bennett, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Bennett.
Officiating, Rev. Don Edwards.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Leon was a native of Randolph County, retired supervisor from Acme-McCrary with 30 years of service, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church and was a former board member with the Bennett Fire Department, where he enjoyed helping with the Chicken Supper Fundraiser every year. Leon also enjoyed cooking for many different benefits as a way to give back to his community. He was a precinct chairman for many years and helped to bring the first landline telephones to the Bennett area. Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Rich Brady, daughter, Annie Lou Brady, parents, Ernest and Viola Brady, sister, Elosie Simmons, brother, Lewis Wayne Brady.
Survivors: daughters, Jane Caviness, and husband, Raymond, of Siler City, Elizabeth Chrisco, of Bennett, sons, Thomas Leon Brady Jr., and wife, Tammy, of Bennett, Keith Brady, and wife, Annette, of Bennett, sister, Janice Allen, and husband, Roy, of Asheboro, brothers, Lynden Brady, of Bennett, Dwight Brady, of Bennett, Michael Brady, and wife, Lois, of Bennett, Sam Brady, of Goldsboro, Gilbert Brady, and wife, Ann, of Asheboro, Steve Brady, and wife, Iva, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Jamie Kirkman, Ashley Brady, Tiffany Brady, Chris Caviness, Jennifer Parker, Katie Caviness, Frank Chrisco, Tony Chrisco, great-grandchildren, Kirsten Stovall, Jakson Kirkman, Easton Kirkman, Courtney Caviness, Reagan Caviness, Jay Parker, Xander Parker, Avery Chrisco, Adalyn Chrisco.
The body will lie in repose from noon until 5 PM, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Loflin Funeral Home.
