Thomas Edwards Obituary

Thomas Ray Edwards, 78, of Staley, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Thomas was a native of Randolph County and a lifelong resident of Staley. He was employed with J.P. Stevens and worked his family farm. Thomas was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed going fishing and was a huge NASCAR Racing fan and loved pulling for Richard Petty and Mark Martin. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Edwards, his parents, Luke and Hazel Wright Edwards, sister, Marie Kearns, and brothers, Orren L. Edwards, and Troy Edwards.

Survivors: daughter, Debbie Edwards Heaton, son, Kenny Edwards, sister, Clara E. Burgess, of Staley, and three grandchildren.
