Susan "Sue" Lawson Maness, 88, of Robbins, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2020, at Beulah Baptist Church, Bennett.
Officiating, Dr. Curtis Barbery.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Susan "Sue" was a native of Johnstown, PA but lived the majority of her life in North Carolina. She was retired as a secretary with the Town of Carthage and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family, and everyone she met. The motto she lived by was "Jehovah Jireh... the Lord will provide", and He has. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, James Archie Maness, parents, George and Frances Long Lawson, brother, Sonny Lawson, Garnett Lawson, sisters, Claire Fluder and Cassie Weikert, granddaughter, Susie Sherrell, grandson, Liam Gribben.
Survivors: daughters, Carol Vaughn, of Shawnee, Kansas, Tammy Welch and husband, Russell, of Seagrove, Terri Reece and husband, Steve, of Stockbridge, GA, Tina Adams, Martha Maness, both of Pensacola, FL, son, Wesley Maness and wife, Margie, of Hillsborough, sisters, Patricia Mock, of Jerome, PA, Virginia Richie, of Laguna Woods, CA, Linda Houp, of Huntingdon, PA, brothers, Jim Lawson, of Millcreek, PA, David Lawson, of Arydel, DE, Richard Lawson, of Monaca, PA, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in state on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from noon to 5:00 at the Loflin Funeral Home.
