Ruth Davis Nelson, 95, of Ramseur, went home to her Savior on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Alpine Health & Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 2 PM, Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Gary Moger.

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Ruth was a native of Rockingham County and a longtime resident of Ramseur. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ramseur for 58 years where she taught first grade Sunday School class and sang in the choir. Ruth retired from Weiman Furniture where she worked in the finishing department. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Fred Nelson, her daughter, Kathryn Crotts, her parents, Edgar and Ruth Hankins Davis, and her seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors: daughter, Jean Hardin, of Sunset Beach, NC, sons, Philip Nelson and wife, Sue, of Silk Hope, Paul Nelson and wife, Karen, of Danville, VA, David Nelson and wife, Sheila, of Charlotte, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, Thursday, Faith Baptist Church, Ramseur.
