Ruby Coward Moffitt

Ruby Coward Moffitt, 91, of Coleridge, died Saturday, September 5, 2020 at UNC Hospitals in Hillsborough.

Graveside Services, 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Maple Springs United Methodist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Sam Harris, Rev. Ron Wachs, Rev. Ed Carter.

Ruby was a native of Randolph County, retired from Ramtex and a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church. She had a fond appreciation for God's beautiful creations and meditated in His word daily. Ruby enjoyed tending to her gardens, watching woodland animals, cooking vegetables, and could often be found riding her lawnmower. She will be remembered for her strong will, kind nature, but mostly her loving heart.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Moffitt, parents, William and Moleta Craven Coward, sister, Mary Lee Knight, brothers, Keith Coward, Vernon Coward, Russell Coward, and Hersal "Ole Man" Coward.

Survivors: son, Neal Moffitt, of Coleridge, sister, Denzel Patterson and husband, Larry, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Jessica Moore, and husband, Scott, of Coleridge, E. Lee Moffitt, of Coleridge, Cassie Coco, and husband, Jeremy, of Staley, great-grandchildren, Everett Coco, Asher Coco.

The body will lie in state from noon to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9 at Loflin Funeral Home.
