Roy Jessie Davis, Jr., 91, of Climax, died Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Private Graveside Services, Tuesday, at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, Franklinville.
Officiating, Rev. Jeff Joyce, Rev. Ralph Pugh.
Roy was a native of Forsyth County and longtime resident of Randolph County. He attended Whites Memorial Baptist Church, was a retired carpenter, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Williams Davis, and parents, Roy Jessie and Ida Farrington Davis.
Survivors: daughter, Amy Faulkner, of Climax, sisters, Dorthine Brown, of Greenville, SC, Evonna Coble, of Franklinville, Sue Hackett, and husband, Bill, of Conway, grandchildren, Jeremy Faulkner, and wife, Megan, of Climax, Jessica Simpson, and husband, Chris, of Asheboro, great-grandchildren, Ali Simpson, Luke Faulkner.
The body will lie in state on Monday, May 25, 2020 from noon until 5:00 PM, at the Loflin Funeral Home.
