Robert Wayne McGee, Sr., 80, of Asheboro, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. John Auler.

Burial, Spoons Chapel Christian Church, Asheboro.  

Following the service, the family will be gathering at the home of Billy and Denise Rollins.

Robert was a native of Randolph County and a longtime resident of Ramseur. He was retired from Sara Lee Corporation and was a member of Spoons Chapel Christian Church. Robert enjoyed spending time at the beach, sunning in the pool, hunting and fishing, watching sports and spending time with his grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Jack and Fleta York McGee, sister, Brenda Burks, brother, Jack McGee, Jr., and grandson, Steven Joyce.

Survivors: daughters, Donna McGee Swaney Garrett and husband, Shawn, of Asheboro, Annette McGee and longtime friend, Pat Kennedy, of Staley, sons, Bob McGee and wife, Sheila, of Ramseur, Bert McGee and wife, Amanda, of Asheboro, Billy Rollins and wife, Denise, of Ramseur, sisters, Patty McGuire and husband, Charles, Frances McGee, of Ramseur, brother, John McGee, of Ramseur, Ira Mac McGee and wife, Sandy, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Amber Lathan and husband, Jake, of Denton, Samantha Swaney & Corey Newby, of Asheboro, Noah Swaney, of Denton, Easton & Raylee Garrett, of Asheboro, Kristin McGee, of Ramseur, Sarah McGee & Jase Medley, of Asheboro, Robert & Michael McGee, of Ramseur, Rodney & Haley Whitcher, of Asheboro, Bethany Whitcher, of Sophia,  Jonathan & Kimberly McGee, of Asheboro, Michael Livengood, of Reidsville, Hunter Ahlf, of Charleston, Maddie Boots Rollins, Katherine Chriscoe, both of Ramseur, Paige Strucinski, of Randleman, Tony Joyce, of Asheboro, Tommy Joyce, of Ramseur, great-grandchildren, Nala Swaney, Madelyn Medley, Hannah Medley, Mia Hicks, Aria Whitcher, Isaac Joyce, Jacob Joyce, Jaxon Joyce, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM, Tuesday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the residence. If there are dogs out when you arrive, please wait on the family to assist you with your arrival.
