James Battle Turner, 79, of Ramseur, died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Randy Kelley, Rev. Gary Moger.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Preacher Turner was a native of Johnston County and a member of Parks Crossroads Christian Church for 53 years, of which he pastored 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Allen Turner, parents, John and Mildred Moore Turner, brother, Bobby Turner, grandson, Allen McPhaul.
Survivors: daughter, Ruth Turner McPhaul, and husband, Mike, of Winston-Salem, son, James Mark Turner, and wife, Amy, of Four Oaks, NC, grandchildren, Shelby Box, and husband, Seth, Nolan Turner, Serena Turner, Sadie Turner, Audrey McPhaul, great-grandson, Jackson Box, sister, Sandra Givens, and husband, Johnny, of Clayton, NC, sister-in-law, Ina Turner, of Stoneville, NC.
Visitation will follow the service at Parks Crossroads Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
