Rebecca Allen Powell, 81, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Graveside Services, 11:00 AM, Friday, April 9, 2021, at Mountain of Faith Christian Church, Asheboro.

Officiating, John Gunter, Rev. John Bryant.

Rebecca was a native of Randolph County, retired from GE Corporation and a member of the Mountain of Faith Christian Church where she enjoyed being a member of Heart Sisters. She also enjoyed her time as a Den Mother in the Boy Scouts for many years. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Donald Powell, Sr., parents, Eli and Mishie McNeil Allen, brother, Quentin Allen, sisters, Nadine Moffitt, Cloyce Moon, Dorcas Edwards, Stella Craven, Gertie Lee Dark and Daphna Newlin.

Survivors: son, Edward Donald Powell, Jr. and wife, Angela, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Parker Ann Powell, Payne Christian Powell, great-grandchild, Hadley Anna Powell, and sister, Pattie Craven, of Asheboro.

The body will lie in repose from noon until 5 PM, on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at the Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur.
