Raymond Charles "Chuck"  Brown, 64, of Franklinville, died Monday, July 25, 2022 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 3 pm, Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Whites Memorial Baptist Church, Franklinville.

Officiating, Rev. Alan Ritter, Rev. Jeff Joyce, Rev. John Harmon.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Chuck was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Franklinville. He was a member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church where he had enjoyed teaching the Senior Men's Class. He was also a member of the Masonic Mariette Lodge #444. Chuck also worked with the annual Timmy Parris Golf Tournament. He began his law enforcement career at Asheboro City Police Department and had one of the first K-9 dogs (Castor). He retired as Police Chief of the Town of Ramseur. After retirement from police department, he worked as a substitute teacher for 8 years with the Randolph County School System, mainly for Ramseur & NERMS. Chuck recently had began his dream job of working on the golf course at Pinewood Country Club. He loved playing golf, especially with his son Zane. Chuck was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Cindy Brown.

Survivors: wife of almost 37 years, Sherry Brown, of the home, son, Zane Brown, of the home, parents, Raymond and Eva Brown, of Ramseur, sister, Verna Watkins, and husband, Barry, of Pleasant Garden, brother, Willie Brown, of Siler City, nephews, Scott Brown, and wife, Lori, Jamie Brown, and wife, Diana, Grayson Watkins, niece, Jill Watkins, mother-in-law, Sondra Robbins, of Franklinville, sister-in-law, Tammy Johnson, and husband, Jeff, niece, Bridgeman Williams, and husband, Travis,  Gabriel Johnson, and wife, Adriana, three great nephews and one great niece.

The family will receive friends at the home of Sondra Robbins, 2691 Guilford Way, Franklinville, NC.
