Philip Craven Cox, 65, of Coleridge, died Friday, September 10, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral Services, 11 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Concord United Methodist Church, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Sam Harris, Pastor Chris Wood.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Philip was a native of Randolph County and a lifelong resident of Coleridge. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and was the caretaker of the church cemetery for 20 years. Philip enjoyed cattle farming, riding motorcycles "barefooted", coaching softball, baseball, and basketball, and was an avid dove hunter and fisherman. He was owner and operator of Cox Construction Company. Philip loved his family which included his loving dog Sally. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Clarice Craven Cox, brother, James "Jimmie" Cox.
Survivors: wife, Diane Jessup Cox, of the home, daughter, Caroline Cox, of Coleridge, sons, Travis Cox, and wife, Melissa, of Coleridge, Craig Cox, of Coleridge, sister, Nancy Lou Frye, and husband, Dale, of Carthage, brother, Dwayne Cox, of Cary, grandchildren, Cody Cox, Craven Cox, Charlie Cox.
Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Monday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
