Patty McNeill Kidd, age 81, of Bennett, entered The Kingdom of The Lord Jesus Christ on August 1, 2022 after a lengthy, debilitating illness.
A funeral service will be held at Beulah Baptist Church of Bennett on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Officiating are Dr. Neal Jackson, and The Reverend Robert Kidd with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service and other times at the home. Patty will lie in repose from 2PM until 3PM at the church.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Charles Kidd; son, Mark Kidd of Robbins, and daughters, Cheryl Williams (Craig) of Troy and Audrey Nelson (Chad) of Bennett. Also there are four grandchildren, Hunter Williams (Emily), Landon Williams, Lydia Nelson and Lyla Nelson and one great granddaughter on the way; brother Thomas Farrell McNeill (Betsy) of Asheboro and sister Rebecca Yates of Asheboro; sister-in-law Ruth Dunlap.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Harvey and Evelyn McNeill of the Westmoore community.
A lifetime resident of Moore County born February 13, 1941, Mrs. Kidd was able to be a working homemaker because of the nature of contract poultry industry. She was a dutiful, beautiful woman and mother. Patty brought thousands of happy hours and her children rise up and call her blessed. We thank God on every remembrance of her.
Her main interests were raising her children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, cooking, caring for others, especially with delicious food. Known for desserts and chicken salad, when Patty gave you what you asked for she was careful to see that you enjoyed it. She was a “Martha” on many levels and also had qualities of a “Mary”.
The family is indebted to thank Carrie Foxx, Rama Maness, Liberty HomeCare Hospice nurses and others for the dedicated, excellent care of Mrs. Kidd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Liberty HomeCare & Hospice Service, PO Box 66, Sanford, NC 27330 or the Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 8454 Howard Mill Road, Bennett, NC 27208.
