Mary Ruth Burns, 77, of Asheboro, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

Mary was a native of Wise County, Virginia and a longtime resident of Asheboro. She was a retired employee of Technimark in Asheboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Mary Salyers Powers, and brothers, James Powers, and Barney Powers, Jr.
Survivors: husband, Jeffery Burns, of the home, daughters, Patricia Dobbins, of Asheboro, Cathy Latham, of Bedford, VA, Sharon Irvine, and husband, Larry, of Elliston, VA, sons, Matthew Dobbins, and wife, Laurie, of Asheboro, Jamielynn Boothe, of Connecticut, sister, Doris Doddie, and husband, Jack, of Livonia, MI, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
