Marie Coward Cox, 91, of Franklinville, died Friday, July 29, 2022 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral Services, 3 PM, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Whites Memorial Baptist Church, Franklinville.

Marie was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. She was employed by Jockey International where she was an inspector until her retirement. Marie was a faithful member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church for many years and was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Page Cox, son-in-law, I.W. Allred, her parents, John and Ometer Ward Coward, sisters, Lee Pet York, Louise Overman, Betty Beard, Mildred Breedlove, and brothers, Jack Coward, Bill Coward, and Fid Coward.
Survivors: daughters, Wanda Allred, of Franklinville, Janice McNeill, and husband, Tim, of Randleman, Angela Kellam, of Franklinville, son, Robert Cox, of Franklinville, sister, Barbara Phillips, of Siler City, brother, Jimmy Coward, of Siler City, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.
The body will lie in repose on Monday, August 1st, from noon until 5 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur.
Visitation, 1 PM to 2:45 PM, Tuesday, Whites Memorial Baptist Church, Franklinville, and other times at the residence.
