Obituary

Maggie Stokes Phillips, 93, of Asheboro, died Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Sandy Ridge Homes in Candor.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Maggie was a native of Randolph County and a longtime resident of Asheboro. She worked at Champagne Dye Works until retirement and she volunteered at Randolph Hospital, the American Red Cross, and Contact "Randolph". Maggie was a member of First United Methodist Church of Asheboro, and attended High Falls Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Joseph C. Phillips, her son, Gary Andrew Phillips, Sr., infant son, William Larry Phillips, parents, Daniel and Flora Mae Brady Stokes, sister, Thelma Scott.

Survivors: daughter, Betty Phillips Hosford, and husband, Mark, of San Diego, CA, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
