Luther "Tommy" Smith Obituary

Luther Thomas "Tommy" Smith, 86, of Asheboro, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tommy was a native of Randolph County and a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. He retired from RCATS at the age of 85. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis McKenzie Smith, parents, Fred L. and Dora Grubbs Smith, sister, Adelaid Harmon, brothers, J.O. Smith and Bobby Smith.

Survivors: sister-in-law, Darlene Smith, brother-in-laws, James McKenzie and wife, Susan, Larry McKenzie and wife, Christy, Tim McKenzie and wife, Cathy, nieces, Donna Johnson, Dedie Weaver, Nicki McKenzie Hill, Jennifer Lucas, Mandy Wilson, nephews, Jay McKenzie, Darren Smith, Brandon McKenzie, several great nieces and nephews.
