Lloyd "Doug" Douglas Cox

Lloyd Douglas "Doug" Cox, 68, of Ramseur, died Monday, November 25, 2019 at his residence.

Doug passed away with Grace and Dignity surrounded by his soulmate and companion LeAnn Langley, his brother and best friend in life, Jerry Cox, and his loving and compassionate sister, Vickie Cox.  He is also survived by his treasured daughter, Leanna Awtrey, and husband, Chris, grandchildren, Caleb Alcorn, Jace Awtrey, nephew and niece Allen Cox and Devon Cox, as well as close friends John and Kim Spell, E.L. Lambert and Tamara Lloyd. His parents, Lloyd and Marie Cox preceded him in passing.

Doug loved life and lived it to the fullest. His passions included being in the great outdoors, hunting, tending to his bees, processing delicious honey and taking frequent trips to the coast for surf fishing. Doug took pleasure in listening to good music, looking at classic cars, watching college football and making custom fishing rods for close friends and family. During his lifetime he enjoyed many good times in the company of good friends. Doug sincerely appreciated all the people who chose to share their lives with him. He wished to convey his gratitude to all his friends and neighbors who took the time to drop by for a visit or called to express their support. He also wanted to thank everyone who remembered him in prayer. VOTE TRUMP 2020.

At his request, no services will be held. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
