Lee Hubert "Bud" Maness, 95, of Robbins, died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.
Funeral Services, 1 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Robbins with Military Honors by the North Carolina National Guard.
Officiating, Rev. Robert Lee Kidd.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Bud was a native and lifelong resident of Moore County. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. Bud retired from Carthage Fabrics where he worked as a supervisor. He quickly decided that retirement was not for him so he took a job driving a van for Moore County Transportation for another 15 years. Bud was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Robbins and was the oldest member of the church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Purvis Maness, his son, Wayland Lee Maness, his parents, John and Mattie Maness, sister, Nannie Chisholm, brothers, Brack Maness, Cecil Maness, and twin brother John R. Maness.
Survivors: daughters, Vickie Garner, husband, Wayne, of Robbins, Leah Frye, husband, Randy, of Robbins, daughter-in-law, Rama Maness, of Robbins, sister-in-law, Juanita Purvis Kidd, and husband, Robert, of Robbins, brother-in-law, Robert Murray, of Bennett, grandchildren, Stacy Nall, Brandon Frye, Tammy Barnes, Millicent King, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in repose from noon until 5 PM on Saturday, January 15th at the Loflin Funeral Home.
