Larry Dean Briggs, 71, of Asheboro, died Monday, June 15, 2020 at Alpine Health & Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.

Memorial Services, 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Freedom Life Church of God, Asheboro.

Officiating, Rev. Ben Chavis, Rev. Jody Williams.

Larry was a native of Lee County and a longtime resident of Randolph County, retired from Energizer Battery Inc. and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William Marshall and Mary Phillips Briggs.

Survivors: daughter, Desta Pritchard and husband, Kenneth, of Spruce Pine, sister, Deborah Reese and husband, Jimmy, of Julian, brother, Eddie Briggs and wife, Ann, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Landry Phillips, Garrison Phillips, Kaden Phillips, Easton Pritchard, niece, Jennifer Vaughn, nephews, Eddie Briggs, Jr., Michael Briggs, Jamie Rishel, and life long best friends, Thomas "Buck" Ferguson, David Lamb.
