Joyce Comer Garner, 70, of Robbins, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in West End.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Beulah Baptist Church, Bennett.

Officiating, Dr. Neal Jackson, Rev. Chris Bouldin.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Joyce was a native of Randolph County, was a former nurse for Firsthealth Hospital and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She served as organist for Beulah Baptist Church and Seagrove Christian Church for many years. Joyce taught piano to many students and was known for her music ability playing at many weddings and funerals. She was a good cook and enjoyed making cakes and decorating them. Joyce loved all her family and enjoyed spending time with them. It was very important to her that her children and grandchildren know the Lord and she witnessed to them often. Her last few years were spent at Autumn Care in Biscoe where she enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with other residents, and leading Sunday School.  Joyce was preceded in death by husband, Charles Garner, parents, Ted and Ethelene Comer, brothers, Jimmy Comer and Dean Comer, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roland and Mary Ruth Garner.

Survivors: son, Charles Christopher Garner, and wife, Debbie, of Robbins, daughters, Teresa Garner Dunn, and husband, Eric, of Star, Natalie Garner Boles, and husband, Travis, of San Diego, CA, sister, Judy Comer Clendenin, and husband Albert, of Robbins, grandchildren, Shelby Maness, and husband, Jody, Jacob Garner and wife, Alexandra, Alyssa Dunn, Cierra Highsmith and husband, Mark, Makayla McDonald, Celeste Boles, sister-in-laws, Sheryl Comer, Linda Redding and husband, Jackie, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins .

The body will lie in state on Saturday, December 5, from noon to 5:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home and also one hour prior to funeral at Beulah Baptist Church.
