John Darrell Deaton, 71, of Randleman, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral Services, 12:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Chris Smith.
Burial, Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
Darrell was a native and longtime resident of Randolph County. He was a 1968 graduate of Ramseur High School and was a talented machinist who started his career at Norman Machine and Supply. He next took his talents to Petty Enterprises where he was known as "Speedy", or "Doc". From a racecar to a shotgun barrel and anything in between, if it could be thought of Darrell could machine it. Darrell enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, racing, turkey shoots, working at Therapeutic Alternatives and spending time relaxing at home. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Pam Wilson Deaton and his parents, J.P. and Lib Kirkman Deaton.
Survivors: daughter, Kim Deaton Norman and husband, David, of Mt. Airy, son, Gregg Deaton and wife, Laura, of Asheboro, step daughters, Danielle Hussey, husband, Jason, of Asheboro, Stephanie Rickard, husband, Justin, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Ashley King, Ashton Deaton, Caitlyn Deaton, step grandchildren, Jordan, Kamrin, Peyton, Aly and Grayson.
Visitation, 11 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
