Joann Hussey Maness, 80, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at her residence.

Graveside Services, 3 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Robbins.

Officiating, Rev. Terry Warren, Rev. Tommy Kidd.

Joann was born in Chatham County and was a longtime resident of Asheboro. She had a heart for children and kept several of them over the years. Joann was retired from Walker Shoe Company and was a member of Rushwood Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Maness, sons, Herbert Coble Maness, and Timothy Eugene Maness, parents, Joe and Kathleen Maness Hussey, sisters, Virginia Barker, Martha Hussey, and brothers, Michael and David Hussey.

Survivors: husband, Herbert Maness, of the home, son, Steven Maness, of the home, daughter, Tiffany Needham, of Asheboro, brother, Cecil Hussey (Tena), of High Falls, grandchildren, Kevin Richardson, Stefanie Maness Brown, Michael Maness, and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
