Joann Latham Summitt

Joann Latham Summitt of Randleman passed away on July 9, 2023 at Westchester Manor in High Point at the age of 86.

Funeral services will be held at Huldah Baptist Church in Asheboro on Saturday, July 15 at 11 am. Rev. Tommy Brown will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Joann was born February 15, 1937, in Montgomery County to the late Herman Latham and Josie Needham Latham. She was a member of Huldah Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. She exemplified the Christian life commanded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without fail throughout her life. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joe Don Summitt; sisters, Peggy L. Brown and Nancy L. York.

Survivors: She is survived by her daughters Debbie Smith and husband Randy, Linda Balderson, Janetta Ernest and husband Royce; grandchildren, David Smith, Destine Ernest, and Jenae Leonard, sisters, Rebecca Cagle, Joyce Callicutt, and Mildred Latham.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
