James Ray Stout

James Ray Stout, 91, of Coleridge, went to his heavenly home on Friday, September 29, 2023 at his residence.

Graveside Services, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Holly Spring Friends Meeting, Ramseur.

Officiating, Wally Jarrell.

James was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. Throughout the years, James spent time working as a machine repairman for Robert's Machine Co., Walker Shoe Co., Ramtex, and was also an auctioneer. He never met a stranger, was always sharing a good story and had an unforgettable laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edgar and Maggie Scott Stout, twin sister, Bonnie R. Maness, and brother, Sam Stout.

Survivors: wife of 41 years, Betty Lineberry Stout, of the home, daughter, Jamie Stout, of Coleridge, nieces, Pat R. Cheek, Vickie R. Maness, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
