James "Jim" Floyd Kirkman, 70, of Asheboro, died Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his residence.
Graveside Services, 2:00 PM, Monday, September 7, 2020, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Asheboro.
Officiating, Rev. Maxton Craven, Toddy Brooks.
James was a native of Randolph County and a lifelong resident of Asheboro. He was member of the North Carolina National Guard and was the owner of J.F. Kirkman Builders. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was a good friend and neighbor. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Opal Louise Smith Kirkman, sister, Henretta Kirkman Cranford, and brother, Glen Harold Kirkman, grandchild, Isaiah Matthews, great grandchild, Liam Garcia.
Survivors: wife, Nancy Kirkman, of the residence, daughter, Donna Carol Matthews, of Asheboro, son, James Michael Kirkman, of Asheboro, sisters, Louise Skeen, of Asheboro, Jane King, of Kernersville, Martha Vye, of Canton, OH., brother, Joseph Daniel Kirkman, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Amber Brower, LaTeya Matthews, Teylor Matthews, Christian Garcia, great-grandchild, Elias Garcia.
The family will be at the residence. The body will lie in state from noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday at Loflin Funeral Home.
