James Joseph Worrell, 72, of Seagrove, died Friday, May 6, 2022 at his residence.
Graveside Memorial Services, 2 pm, Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point with Military Honors by the United States Coast Guard.
Officiating, Rev. Bruce McLanahan.
James was a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a resident of Seagrove. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving at the Coast Guard Station at Fort Macon. James later became the owner-operator of his own trucking company and contracted with Fed EX Custom Critical. James was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Easter Worrell, parents, John Duralde and Nanette Rose Stuckey Worrell, brother, Thomas Worrell, step children, Joanne Anderson, Tommy Joe Fritts, Billy Ray Fritts, and son-in-law, Robbie Stegenga.
Survivors: daughters, Teresa Taylor, and husband, Chad, of Seagrove, Rebecca W. Stegenga, and fiance, Steven Price, of Liberty, SC, sisters, Mary Weiss, husband Joe, of SC, Bonnie Baker, of SC, Patricia Worrell, of SC, brothers, John Worrell, wife, Gail, of SC, William Worrell, of SC, step-daughter, Carla Stewart Shook, of Kiser, NC, step-son, Gary Eugene Fritts, and wife, Janice, of Lexington, twenty two grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
