James Edward Smart, 87, of Coleridge, died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at his residence.

Memorial Services, 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Officiating, Rev. Ransom Love.

James was a native of Tifton, GA and was a twenty year veteran of the U.S. Marines. Following retirement he remained busy working in several different occupations. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hughes Smart, parents, Joe and Lanier Bishop Smart, sister, Joy S. Womack, brothers, Leroy Smart, Ernest Smart, Leon Smart, Aaron Smart.

Survivors: daughter, Patricia S. Willett, of Bennett, son, James Edward Smart II, of Bennett, sister, Joyce S. Womack, of Ware Shoals, SC.
