James Michael Morton

James Michael Morton, 47, of Franklinville, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at his residence.

Memorial Services, 2 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Bruce Johnson.

Mike was born on October 30, 1971 in Asheboro to Gary Thomas and Norvella Gray Morton. He was a 1990 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School and he received his Associate in Applied Science degree in Automotive Systems Technology from Randolph Community College. He was a long time employee of Ramtex and was an avid gardener.  Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clayton and Beulah Laughlin Gray and by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Louise Poole Morton.

Survivors: parents, Gary Thomas and Norvella Gray Morton, of Franklinville, sisters, Gina Morton Smith, and husband, Ted, of Coleridge, Louisa Morton Garner, and husband, Larry, of Randleman, Rhonda Morton Boone, and boyfriend, Timothy Wilson, of Franklinville, brother, Gary Wayne Morton, and fiance, Debbie McNeill, of Franklinville, aunt, Patricia Morton, of Franklinville, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15th from 12 PM to 6 PM at the home of Ted and Gina Smith, 4308 Timber Lea Lane, Ramseur and visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, March 16th at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.
