Jacky Leroy Cooper, 81, of Staley, died Monday, April 3, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Staley Baptist Church, Staley.

Officiating, Rev. Roger Carlson, Rev. Garry Arnett.

Burial will follow in The Staley Cemetery, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Jacky was a native and lifelong resident of Staley in Randolph County, a member of Staley Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea. He retired as a truck driver with Harris Teeter, was an avid mechanic, and loved sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Palmer and Cora Turner Cooper, sister, Fama Waine Brinkley, and brother, Charlie Cooper.

Survivors: daughter, Kristen C. Bare, and husband, Stephen, of Siler City, son, Dr. Brent Cooper, of Staley, sisters, Patsy Beard, of Staley, Mary Lois Clark, of Siler City, grandchildren, Ally Bare, Jackson Bare, and former wife of thirty years, Beverly Sprinkle Cooper.

Visitation, 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM, Saturday, Staley Baptist Church, Staley, and other times at the residence.
