Irene Hurlocker Bishop, 71, of Climax, died Sunday, October 1, 2023 at her residence.

Irene was a native of Guilford County and a resident of Randolph County. She was a retired Office Clerk with Lucent Technologies. Irene was preceded in death by her father, William Shouford Hurlocker.

Survivors: husband, James Wilber Bishop, Sr., of the home, step daughter, Janet Sue Bishop, step son, James Wilber Bishop, Jr., mother, Annie Elizabeth Hurlocker, sisters, Mary Ann Hurlocker, and Alice Hurlocker, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
