Ida Marie (Johnson) Glidewell

Ida Johnson Glidewell, 82, of Liberty, went home to be with her Lord Friday, September 8, 2023 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Liberty.

Officiating, Rev. Howard Spray.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ida was a native of Alamance County and a longtime resident of Liberty. She was formerly employed at Worcester Control Co. and was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church. Ida was a strong independent woman with a hearty work ethic. She loved her family greatly and was loved by them. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, William Harrison and Cuma Pike Johnson, stepfather, John Shea, brother, Roy Johnson, and grandmother, Tempie Johnson.

Survivors: husband, Ralph Glidewell, of the home, sons, Timothy "Tim" Glidewell, and wife, Tammy, of Liberty, William "Matt" Glidewell, and wife, Shannon, of Staley, Joel Glidewell, and wife, Angela, of Snow Camp, sister, Elizabeth Ann Cox, of Biscoe, grandchildren, Josh, Dylan, Tiffany, Stacey, Jamie, Zach, Sarah, Emma, Seth, great-grandchildren, Brianna, Autumn, Austin, Abby, Logan, Chandler, Kelsey, Jack, Daniel and Miranda.

Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Liberty and other times at the residence.
