Herman Cecil York, Jr., 78, of Staley, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.

Private Graveside Services, Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Liberty.

Officiating, Rev. Mark Beane.

Cecil was a native of Randolph County, an avid fisherman, and a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather. For the past thirty three years he drove a truck, and prior to that he contracted with Southern Railroad. He will be missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sr. and Martha Brown York.

Survivors: daughters, Martha Williams, and husband, Punchy, of Staley, Dawn Frazier, and husband, Kevin, of Hampstead, son, David York, of Staley, sister, Shirley Lane, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Williams, Laura, Emily, and Cole Frazier, Ashley and Justin York, great-grandchildren, Gavin, Gabri, Gracie, Granton, Griffin, and Aiden.
