A Private Lunch Gathering will be held by the family on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 at Clapp’s Mountain Top Residential Apartments dining room.
Friends and residents of Clapp’s Mountain Top Residential Apartments are invited to attend a public memorial service to honor "Hop" at 12:30 PM the same day in the Clapp's Mountain Top Residential Apartments dining room, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. This will be a memorial service to honor “Hop”; a husband, brother-in-law, father, father-in-law, grandfather, veteran, and friend. Hop wore many hats and wore them all well and we would like to remember and show him respect. Where a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.
Hop was a native of Owaneco, Illinois and a longtime resident of Greensboro. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Navy. Hop married the love of his life, Elva, on September 15, 1949. The two of them started a family while moving throughout the Mid West, helping construct railroads and working at U.S. Steel. In 1973, Hop settled his family in Greensboro, NC, where Hop and Elva worked for Overhead Door. Hop loved his family and enjoyed being a father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elva, his parents, Charles and Elsie Hague Law, and eight siblings.
Survivors: daughter, Carol Dalfonso, and husband, Tom, of Portage, Indiana, son, Ron Law, and wife, Dawn, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Cody Law, Garrett Law, Savannah Law, Jason Jacob, Jennifer Courtney, and husband Tom.
