Harold Lloyd "Eddie" Edmondson, Jr., 62, of Franklinville, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 11 AM, Monday, February 15, 2021, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Jarrod Davis.

Eddie was a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a longtime resident of Franklinville. He was employed by Champaign Dye where he worked in maintenance. Eddie was a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He made friends wherever he went. Eddie had a passion for umpiring baseball and was a member of Mid State Officials Association. Whenever he had an opportunity he was on the field and enjoyed it so much that he spent 13 weeks each year in Cooperstown, NY calling games so the kids could play. Eddie loved baseball and enjoyed interacting with the players, meeting new people, and building friendships that became family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Edmondson, daughter, Christy York, granddaughter, Madison York, and parents, Harold and Ruby Craven Edmondson,

Survivors: sister, Debbie Clark, of Ramseur, brother, Doug Edmondson, and wife, Janet, of Toronto, Ohio, step daughter, Angela Harmon, of Bentonsville, Ohio, step son, Jesse Houser, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Maranda York, and fiancé, Bradley Cox, of Greensboro, Makenna York, of Liberty, Mekayla Walden, and husband, J.R., of Liberty, Zain Harmon, of Bentonsville, Ohio, Joshua Randolph, of Charlotte, Dakota McDaniels, of Asheboro, son-in-law, Christopher York, of Liberty, brother-in-law, Eddie Harshman, and wife, Kimberly, of Shallotte, sister-in-law, Joan Wall, and husband, Alan, of Randleman, special niece, Jennifer Clark, caregivers, Cheryl York and Andy Harshman, and several nieces and nephews.

The body will lie in repose on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from noon until 5 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home.
