Goldie Stinson York, 98, of Staley, died Friday, September 1, 2023.

Funeral Services, 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Staley.

Officiating, Dr. Larry Martin, Rev. Talmadge Williams.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Goldie was born in Chatham County, was a longtime resident of Staley and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Ramseur High School. Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Elden York, parents, Marvin Durham and Mary Catherine Benner Stinson.

Survivors: daughter, Cathy York Morrison and husband, Mark, of Charlotte, sons, Ted E. York and wife, Frances, of Toccoa, GA, Chris S. York, of Staley, sister, Mildred Power and husband, Ed, of Greensboro, grandchildren, Ben York and wife, Amy, Amber Pinney and husband, Daniel, Rebecca Morrison, Matthew Morrison, great-grandchildren, Natalie Pinney, Elijah Pinney, Sebastian York, Matteus York.

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
