George Edward Thomas, 85, of Asheboro, died Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Graveside Services, 3 PM, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Dwayne Lester.

George was a native of Spruce Pines and a longtime resident of Asheboro. He was a member of Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, a retired delivery driver with Frito- Lay, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents,  Mack and Ruth Harrison Thomas, son, Mack Thomas III and sister, Mary Jo Sabo, grandson, Kaymen Hamilton.

Survivors: wife, Joan Coble Thomas, of the home, daughter, Teresa Thomas Hinshaw, of Liberty, grandchildren, Sherry Diaz DeLeon, Carolyn Mikulskis, Jason Hinshaw, Amy White, Sarah Thomas, Elizabeth McKenzie, fourteen great-grandchildren.
