Gaye Johnson Criscoe, 74, of Ramseur, died Friday, November 17, 2023 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 2 PM, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Gary Moger.

Burial, Rehobeth United Methodist Church, Ramseur.

Gaye was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. She was an encourager and an uplifter to all who encountered her, especially to children. Gaye spent most of her life working as a Teacher Assistant in the Asheboro City School System, as well as helping with AWANA programs and Bible Schools at her churches, First Christian Church and Faith Baptist Church, both of Ramseur. Working with children was her passion, as was serving the Lord and living a devout Christian life. She was loved by her family and friends, who were truly fortunate to have such a sweet soul in their lives. Gaye was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Denise Criscoe, her parents, Joseph Mark and Bernice Cain Johnson, and her sister, Kaye Johnson Teague.

Survivors: husband of 55 years, Richard Criscoe, of the home, daughters, Shannon Fox, and husband, Jeremy, of Ramseur, Renee Higgins, and husband, Joe, of Pooler, GA, son, Matthew Criscoe, and wife, Beth, of Shallotte, sister, Dianne Leonard, and husband, David, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Ryan Higgins, Ethan Fox, Hannah Fox, Saylor Criscoe.

Visitation, 1 PM to 1:45 PM, Wednesday, Faith Baptist Church, Ramseur.
