Frances Harris Ferree, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at her residence.
Graveside Services, 11 AM, Friday, September 4, 2020, at Cedar Falls United Methodist Church, Asheboro.
Officiating, Rev. Mike Lee , Rev. Rob Roberts.
Frances was a native of Chatham County and a longtime resident of Cedar Falls. She formerly worked at Tie Rite Neckwear, and retired from Acme McCrary Corporation. Frances was a member of Cedar Falls United Methodist Church where she served as a youth Sunday School teacher and was very active in the Ladies Ministry. She was a graduate of Randleman High School. Frances enjoyed hosting meals for her family and friends, taking long walks on the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Mary Joyce Fox Harris, step-father, J.B. Harris, sister, Joann Voss, and brother, Jimmy Harris.
Survivors: husband, Jack E. Ferree, of the residence, daughter, Karen York, and husband, Tony, of Cedar Falls, son, Charles Ferree, and wife Cynthia, of Asheboro, sister, Camellia Thomas, and husband, Tony, of Asheboro, brothers, Billy Harris, and wife, Lynn, of Randleman, Eddie Harris, of Randleman, grandchildren, Justin York, Sandra Ferree, Brooks York, Blake Ferree, great-grandchildren, Izzy York, Maddie Jones, Brady Jones, and special caregivers, Gail Deaton, Belinda Henson.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Randolph County.
The body will lie in state from noon until 5 PM, Thursday, September 3, 2020.
